British Council, a leading global organization focused on cultural and creative sector development, aimed to replace its outdated, static learning model with a flexible, interactive platform. The vision was to upskill young creatives in underserved regions through engaging, mobile-first learning. The legacy system—based on lengthy webinars—struggled with low engagement and poor accessibility.
Impelsys built the latest version of the SoCreative LMS on the mon’k platform that reorganized 40+ hours of webinar-based content into 23 interactive, SCORM-compliant courses. Each module integrated short videos, quizzes, real-life case studies, and gamified experiences. The platform supported over 100,000 users and also featured a custom homepage, learner dashboards, credit-based incentives, real-time chat, and progress analytics.
The new version of the SoCreative custom LMS platform, delivered a significantly improved learning experience, engagement, and completion rates through intuitive design, multimedia, and peer interactions. For learners like Amina*, a 23-year-old fashion designer in Nairobi, Kenya, the LMS helped transform her creativity into a sustainable business. And for Kwesi*, a 21-year-old aspiring filmmaker from Kumasi, Ghana, it unlocked a world of storytelling tools and global collaboration he had never imagined possible.
