An Accessibility Testing Solution to Drive Inclusivity in Cancer Education
A prominent U.S.-based non-profit organization in clinical oncology sought to overcome accessibility challenges to ensure inclusivity for a diverse set of users while empowering healthcare professionals with the latest research and knowledge for improved patient outcomes.
Impelsys devised a comprehensive strategy for addressing accessibility by conducting manual assessments in line with WCAG 2.0 A and AA standards. The testing encompassed various devices and browsers, utilizing tools such as X-ray, Jira, AXE, NVDA, and Lighthouse to ensure effective test-case management, defect tracking, and accessibility.
Impelsys’ intervention in accessibility testing resulted in app optimization for users with disabilities, which included vision impairment, hearing disabilities, and other conditions. The front-end application’s accessibility efficiency significantly improved from 25% to 70%, achieving compliance with WCAG standards.
